Special Issue Information
The development of effective therapeutics and personalized treatment strategies remains one of the central challenges in modern biomedicine. Advances in high-throughput experimental technologies, molecular profiling, and biomedical data generation have greatly expanded our understanding of disease biology, creating new opportunities for therapeutic innovation. However, translating biological knowledge into clinically effective interventions requires sophisticated computational approaches capable of integrating diverse datasets, modeling complex biological systems, and supporting evidence-based therapeutic development.
Computational methods have become increasingly important throughout the therapeutic discovery pipeline, from target identification and drug design to efficacy prediction and treatment optimization. Approaches such as molecular modeling, network-based analysis, systems pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and translational bioinformatics are accelerating the discovery of novel therapeutics while facilitating the development of personalized treatment strategies. These advances contribute to a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and support the realization of precision medicine.
This Special Issue, Computational Approaches for Therapeutic Discovery and Precision Medicine, aims to highlight innovative computational methodologies that advance therapeutic research and individualized healthcare. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and methodological studies that address challenges in drug discovery, therapeutic development, pharmacology, translational medicine, and precision therapeutics.
