Prof. Yantao Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and the director of the Human-Centered Intelligent Construction Lab. She is a multidisciplinary researcher focusing on the application of information technologies in construction. Her research interests include construction robots, construction safety, and digital twin techniques. She has published over 50 academic papers, including over 30 JCR Q1 papers. Her research achievements have been recognized by the academic and industry communities, including the Best Paper Award at the 35th International Conference on Building Automation, the Best Research Project Award from the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Council, the Best Paper Award from the Hong Kong Institute of Construction, and the Outstanding Paper Award at the 1st National BIM Academic Conference. Her research has been funded by RGC, NSCF, ITC, PPR, and industrial partners.
