Science Exploration Press is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Nathan D. Wong as Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Lipoprotein(a) Research (ALR), effective January 2027.

Professor Wong is Professor and Director of the UCI Heart Disease Prevention Program at the Mary and Steve Wen Cardiovascular Division and Co-director of the Center for Global Cardiometabolic Health and Nutrition at the University of California, Irvine, USA. He is also a past president of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology and former co-editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology. As a cardiovascular epidemiologist, he has made significant contributions in preventive cardiology, focusing on cardiovascular risk prediction, subclinical atherosclerosis and dyslipidemia, including lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]. His expertise will support ALR's mission to advance rigorous and clinically relevant research on Lp(a).

"I am honoured to serve as Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Lipoprotein(a) Research and look forward to working closely with our esteemed team of associate editors and editorial board to further build upon the foundation my predecessor Dr. Gerhard Kostner has created," said Professor Wong. "Lp(a) is an important and evolving area of dyslipidemia and cardiovascular research, with growing implications for risk assessment, prevention, and treatment. I look forward to working with the Editorial Board, authors, and reviewers to develop a trusted forum for high-quality research and constructive scientific exchange."

Under Professor Wong's leadership, ALR will continue to publish high-quality manuscripts addressing the biology, genetics, epidemiology, clinical significance, diagnosis, and therapeutic management of Lp(a).

We are delighted to welcome Professor Nathan D. Wong as Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Lipoprotein(a) Research.
