We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Building Design and Environment (JBDE), an open-access journal published by Science Exploration Press, has officially partnered with the International Society for Smart Construction and Production (SCP).

This collaboration represents a significant milestone for JBDE, reflecting our shared vision with SCP to advance smart construction, sustainable building, and precision production in a rapidly evolving global context. Moving forward, both sides will work closely to promote academic publishing, interdisciplinary exchange, and support for emerging researchers through a range of joint initiatives.

The International Society for Smart Construction and Production (SCP) has its origins in the Curtin Advanced Technologies Research and Innovation Alliance (CATRINA), established in 2015. CATRINA was dedicated to pioneering advanced technologies in the construction and production industries. From 2020 to 2024, the society evolved through the Asian Institute of Engineering Brain, further expanding its focus and reach. In 2024, the organization rebranded as SCP, broadening its mission to encompass a global perspective and fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination across academia, industry, and government sectors.
