Jianxun Ding, Ph.D., is a professor at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CIAC, CAS). He earned his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from CIAC in 2013 and conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School from 2017 to 2019. His honors include the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund (2020), Jilin Province Distinguished Young Scholar Fund (2023), and Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher (2022–2024). He has received over 10 awards, including the Chinese Chemical Society Polymer Young Scholar Award (2019) and Jilin Province Science and Technology Progress Award (2018). Dr. Ding serves as Executive Editor of Polymer Science & Technology, Associate Editor of Exploration, and sits on several editorial boards. His research focuses on bioactive polymer materials for cancer therapy and tissue repair. He has published over 150 papers in top journals like Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Prog. Polym. Sci., Nano Today, and Biomaterials, with 11 ESI Hot Papers, 30+ Highly Cited Papers, and 16,000+ citations. As the first inventor, he has applied for 60+ patents (40+ granted) and led 20+ major projects. He co-founded two companies and completed a 30 million RMB tech transfer for injectable poly(amino acid) hydrogels for tissue engineering.
