Andrea Sanna graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1993 and received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering in 1997, both from Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy. Currently, he has a tenured full professor position at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering. The research activity of Andrea Sanna mainly concerns computer graphics, parallel and distributed computing, image processing, computer vision, scientific visualization, and extended reality. Andrea Sanna is the author and co-author of over 200 academic papers in international journals and conference proceedings. Andrea Sanna is a Senior Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a member of several editorial boards, and a reviewer for many international journals and conferences. He is currently an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Art, Culture and Design Technologies (IJACDT) and for Frontiers in Virtual Reality - section Augmented Reality.
