Chiral Chemistry Launches Global Recruitment for Youth Editorial Board Members
Chiral Chemistry is now inviting applications from early-career researchers worldwide to join its Youth Editorial Board. Approximately 20 members will be selected in this round, with applications open until October 15, 2026.
Since its launch, Chiral Chemistry has been working to build an international platform that reflects both the foundations and the evolving frontiers of chirality research. As the journal continues to grow, we hope to bring more young researchers into its academic development.
The call is open to researchers in chiral chemistry and related interdisciplinary fields worldwide. In addition to asymmetric synthesis, chiral catalysis, axial chirality, planar chirality, and other non-central chiral systems, we particularly welcome researchers working at the intersections of chirality with materials science, pharmaceuticals and medicinal chemistry, photochemistry and photocatalysis, supramolecular chemistry, chemical biology, and analytical science.
Eligibility
Applicants should generally:
• Be under 40 years of age and hold a PhD in chiral chemistry or a related field. The age requirement may be relaxed for candidates with particularly strong qualifications;
• Be actively engaged in research, with demonstrated research capability and academic potential;
• Work in an area relevant to the scope and future development of Chiral Chemistry;
• Be interested in contributing to the journal and engaging with the broader chirality research community.
Responsibilities
Youth Editorial Board members will serve a two-year term and are expected to contribute to the journal according to their expertise and availability. Activities may include:
• Supporting the development of high-quality content by contributing manuscripts or recommending potential authors and research groups;
• Participating in academic assessment and peer review;
• Identifying emerging research directions and proposing topics for Special Issues, thematic content, or academic forums;
• Participating in journal activities and helping strengthen the visibility of Chiral Chemistry through conferences, academic exchanges, and professional networks.
Benefits
Youth Editorial Board members will:
• Receive an official appointment certificate from Chiral Chemistry;
• Have opportunities for their research achievements, group news, and academic activities to be featured through the journal’s communication platforms;
• Receive priority invitations to journal-organized academic forums, editorial activities, and other scholarly exchange opportunities;
• Have opportunities to participate more closely in the academic development and content planning of the journal;
• Be considered for recommendation to the Chiral Chemistry Editorial Board based on their contribution and engagement during the term;
• Be eligible for consideration for the Chiral Chemistry Editorial Contribution Award in recognition of outstanding service to the journal.
How to Apply
Interested researchers are invited to send a curriculum vitae including their educational and professional experience, main research interests, and representative academic achievements. Please also include a brief introduction in the email describing your primary research area and motivation for joining the Youth Editorial Board.
