The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Cell Death Biology Branch of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology was successfully held in Hefei, China, from November 18-21, 2025. Bringing together leading experts and early-career researchers from across China, the meeting showcased the latest advances in cell death mechanisms, disease relevance, and emerging technologies in the field.

As the official partner journal of the Cell Death Biology Branch— and with the strong support of Professor Qing Zhong, President of the Branch, Ferroptosis and Oxidative Stress (FOS) Editor, and Chair of the Department of Pathophysiology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of MedicineFOS was invited to participate in this important academic event.

During the conference, Abigail, Managing Editor of FOS, introduced the journal at the Branch’s Work Committee Meeting on November 18 and again to a wider audience during the scientific sessions on November 20, marking its first official appearance and significantly increasing its visibility within the cell death research community.
