Smart Materials and Devices (SMD) is pleased to announce the establishment of its Inaugural Youth Editorial Board (YEB). The YEB brings together early-career researchers who are actively engaged in smart materials, device innovation, advanced manufacturing, biomedical materials, energy systems, and related interdisciplinary fields.

The creation of the YEB aims to foster academic exchange, encourage innovation, and provide a platform for emerging researchers to contribute to the journal’s development. Through their expertise and dedication, YEB members will play a vital role in promoting high-quality research, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing the frontiers of smart materials and devices.

Following a rigorous selection process, 30 young scholars were appointed as inaugural members. Their diverse research backgrounds and international perspectives will further enhance the academic influence and global reach of SMD.
