On November 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM Beijing time, the inaugural Editorial Board Meeting of Smart Materials and Devices (SMD) was successfully convened. The meeting aimed to review the journal’s progress, align development goals, and strengthen collaboration among Editorial Board Members to support SMD’s long-term growth.

Smart Materials and Devices (SMD) is pleased to announce the establishment of its Inaugural Youth Editorial Board (YEB). The YEB brings together early-career researchers who are actively engaged in smart materials, device innovation, advanced manufacturing, biomedical materials, energy systems, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Science Exploration Press is delighted to announce the official launch of Smart Materials and Devices (SMD), a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing the frontier of intelligent materials and their integration with cutting-edge technologies. The journal is led by Professor Zhong-Yong Yuan (Nankai University, China), who serves as its Founding Editor-in-Chief.
