Guangming Chen is a Professor at College of Materials Science and Engineering, Shenzhen University. He received his B.S. degree in 1994 at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), M.S. degree in 1997 and Ph.D. degree in 2000 at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). He did a postdoctoral research as STA Fellow in 2000–2002 at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. He worked at ICCAS in 2002–2018. Then, he joined Shenzhen University as a Distinguished Professor. His recent research interests focus on polymer or composite thermoelectric materials, flexible devices and application scenarios. He has published > 220 journal papers. He is Foreign Academician of Russia Academy of Natural Sciences (2020), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2017), Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (2020). He is Top 2% of scientists by Stanford Ranking (2020-2024), and an awardee of European Advanced Materials Award, Beijing Science and Technology Award, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Award, Top 1% in Highly Cited Authors in Royal Society of Chemistry Journals, and Beijing Nova Award, etc. He serves/served as Associate Editor for RSC Advances, editorial board member of several journals, including Nano-Micro Letters, Journal of Materials Science: Composites, and Advanced Nanocomposites. He is a committee member of Chinese Materials Research Society, and Chinese Society for Composite Materials.
