FOS Participates in the 2026 Annual Meeting of CSCB & ICCB & APOCB, Advancing Frontiers in Ferroptosis Research
To promote global scientific exchanges and collaboration among cell biology researchers and advance the development of cell biology disciplines worldwide, "The 2026 Annual Meeting of Chinese Society for Cell Biology (CSCB) · Hefei & 16th International Congress of Cell Biology (ICCB) & 10th Asia-Pacific Organization for Cell Biology (APOCB) Congress (International Symposium on Multicellularity)" has been successfully held in Hefei, Anhui Province, China from April 8 to 12, 2026.
As the Official Partner Journal of the Cell Death Biology Branch of CSCB, Ferroptosis and Oxidative Stress (FOS) participated in this major international conference with the strong support of Prof. Qing Zhong, President of the Branch, Director of the Department of Pathophysiology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Editorial Board Member of FOS. The journal was honored to be present throughout the meeting, engaging with leading researchers in the field of cell biology and cell death
During the conference, FOS hosted an exhibition booth that attracted substantial attention from scientists and participants. The editorial team held in-depth discussions with researchers from China and overseas, and many experts expressed strong interest for the journal and explored opportunities for future academic collaboration.

On April 10, within Session 11, the thematic symposium titled “Ferroptosis and Diseases”, jointly initiated and organized by Prof. Qing Zhong and Prof. Fudi Wang, was successfully held. The session provided an important platform for discussing recent advances in ferroptosis and its roles in human diseases.
During the symposium, Prof. Marcus Conrad, Professor of Technical University of Munich and Director of the Institute of Metabolism and Cell Death, Helmholtz Munich, German Research Center for Environmental Health, Germany, delivered an invited lecture entitled “Modulating ferroptosis for disease prevention”. His presentation highlighted emerging therapeutic strategies targeting ferroptosis and stimulated extensive discussion among attendees. At the conclusion part of his talk, Prof. Conrad also recommended FOS to the attendees, further enhancing the journal’s visibility within the field.

Prof. Marcus Conrad delivering a lecture and recommending the journal to the attendees
The FOS Editorial Office sincerely thanks Prof. Marcus Conrad for his outstanding presentation and continued support of the journal.
The successful completion of this conference provided an important platform for scientific exchange and collaboration in the field of cell biology and cell death research. FOS greatly benefited from its participation in this high-level international meeting. The journal also extends its sincere gratitude to the Chinese Society for Cell Biology for organizing this landmark event, as well as to Prof. Qing Zhong for his continuous guidance and strong support throughout the conference.
Looking ahead, FOS will continue to strengthen its engagement with leading international conferences and experts in the field, closely follow the latest advances in ferroptosis and oxidative stress research, and remain committed to providing a high-quality platform for scientific communication and knowledge dissemination, thereby contributing to the continued development and innovation of this rapidly evolving field.
