We are delighted to announce that Professor Deshuang Huang has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Computational Biomedicine, a Golden open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the fusion of computational technologies and biomedical science.

Professor Deshuang Huang

Deshuang Huang is a Professor at Ningbo Institute of Technology, Eastern Institute of Technology (provisional name), and the Director of the Ningbo Key Laboratory of Multi-Omics and Multi-Modal Biomedical Data Mining and Computing (Class A). He currently serves as Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program of China (New Generation AI Major Project), expert for the National Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Intelligence Project, and a panelist on the 14th Expert Review Committee of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

He is a Foreign Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and a Fellow of IEEE, IAPR, AAIA, and AIIA. With over 280 SCI-indexed papers, 25,000+ citations (Google Scholar), and an h-index of 84, Professor Huang is recognized as one of the leading scientists in AI-driven biomedical data mining.

He has published in top-tier journals such as Advanced Science, Genome Biology, and Bioinformatics, and has been featured as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier for 10 consecutive years (2014-2023). He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Wu Wenjun AI Technology Progress First Prize and the Ministry of Education Natural Science First Prize.

Under Professor Huang's leadership, Computational Biomedicine will strive to:

• Bridge computational modeling, AI, and real-world medical applications;
• Highlight emerging technologies such as digital twins, LLMs in healthcare, and AI-assisted drug design;
• Support a global community advancing biomedical knowledge through computational innovation.

To foster global collaboration and knowledge sharing, the journal currently waives all article processing charges (APCs). A streamlined peer-review system and dedicated editorial team ensure rapid, fair, and high-quality publication. Exceptional articles will also benefit from targeted promotion and visibility campaigns.
