Special Issue Information
This Special Issue is dedicated to the cutting-edge advancements in nanomaterials for molecular imaging, with a specific emphasis on their applications in tumor imaging across modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), near-infrared fluorescence imaging (NIRFI), computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), and emerging hybrid techniques. Nanomaterials, including inorganic and organic nanoparticles, offer unparalleled capabilities for enhancing contrast, enabling targeted tumor diagnosis, and facilitating theranostic applications in oncology. We invite submissions on topics such as the design and synthesis of tumor-specific nanomaterials, in vitro and in vivo imaging studies for cancer diagnostics, biocompatibility and toxicity evaluations, challenges in clinical translation, and novel imaging strategies for early detection and monitoring of tumors. Original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that highlight the intersection of nanotechnology and oncological imaging are encouraged. This Issue aims to unite materials scientists, chemists, biomedical engineers, and oncologists to advance precision diagnostics and therapeutic monitoring in cancer care.
