Special Issue Information
The integration of carbon-based materials and polymers has emerged as a transformative force in the field of smart energy and advanced devices. These functional materials, leveraging the unique properties of carbon (such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, and porous carbon) and the versatility of polymers (such as conjugated porous polymer), offer unprecedented opportunities for developing high-performance, lightweight, and cost-effective solutions. From energy storage systems like electrocatalysis, supercapacitors, and batteries to flexible electronics and wearable devices, carbon–polymer composites are at the forefront of innovation.
This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest advancements and emerging trends in the design, synthesis, and application of carbon–polymer functional materials, fostering a deeper understanding of their potential in smart energy and devices. This focused section will cover a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to:
(1) Innovative synthesis and functionalization of carbon–polymer composites;
(2) Advanced characterization techniques for carbon–polymer functional materials;
(3) Applications of carbon–polymer materials in energy storage and conversion devices;
(4) Environmental and sustainability aspects of carbon–polymer functional materials;
(5) Insights into electrode materials: performance (including activity, selectivity, and stability) enhancement and mechanism investigations.
