Special Issue Information

The global demand for sustainable and efficient energy conversion technologies has never been more urgent. Advanced materials and the development of appropriate interfaces that can effectively catalyze electrochemical reactions are essential components in the pursuit of clean energy conversion.

Electrocatalysts are essential components in a wide array of energy technologies, including fuel cells, water splitting, and carbon dioxide capture and reduction. The advent of smart electrocatalysts, materials that exhibit adaptive and responsive behaviors, offers transformative potential to enhance the efficiency, selectivity, and durability of these systems. By tailoring the properties of electrocatalysts and optimizing their interfaces, researchers can achieve significant improvements in performance, paving the way for more efficient and sustainable energy solutions.

This Special Issue invites contributions that explore novel synthesis techniques, advanced characterization methods, and theoretical insights into the behavior of smart electrocatalysts and interfaces. We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary studies that connect fundamental research with practical applications, demonstrating the real-world impact of these advanced materials.

By bringing together a diverse array of cutting-edge research, this Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current advancements and future directions in the field.
